A two day course covering principles of ultrasound physics, scanner technology, scanning protocols, evidence based scanning and hands on practice
The course is run by faculty from Imperial College London and the authors of the forthcoming ‘Manual of Vascular Ultrasound’.
There will be demonstrations on how to perform scans as well as extensive opportunities to practice scanning over a full practical day.
The course will allow you to utilise the increasingly available duplex ultrasound machines in Emergency departments, theatres and clinics. It will allow you to make rapid diagnosis of the pathology and allow to speedy and appropriate treatment to be instigated for conditions including:
Peripheral vascular disease ,Stroke ,AAA, Acute limb ischaemia, Varicose veins, Dialysis access
